Celebrate Seasonal Flavors and Slowing Down at Autumn Fika In the Shed, Seattle

leave a comment »

Love coffee and excuses to slow down? Then join Karra Wise and I on November 2, 2019 for a special seasonal fika event at In the Shed.

This iconic Swedish tradition is all about gathering with friends over coffee and conversation, and on a cold autumn day, what better way to pass the time? We’ll be doing an afternoon of just that, with the intention of easing into holiday season and creating time for slowing down.

The fire will be crackling and we’ll be getting cozy in the shed together, indulging in food and drink and celebrating all things baking and making. There will be a full spread of homemade sweet and savory treats (yes, we’ll be abiding by the Swedish rule of “seven kinds of cookies”), inspired by seasonal Pacific Northwest and Scandinavian flavors, and we’ll let the conversation go wherever it takes us. We hope that you come and join us!

We have 14 spots available. Purchase tickets here

When: Saturday November 2, 2019, 2-6pm

Ticket includes: Full fika spread including coffee and drinks, a signed copy of Anna’s book Fika: The Art of the Swedish Coffee Break and a handmade ceramic object from Karra.
