April 20, 2024: Introduction to Papercutting with Peninsula Art League, Gig Harbor, WA, 10am-2pm PT [IN PERSON]

Come learn the basics of papercutting, an art that spans history and cultures, from simple silhouettes to intricate designs and bold, graphic work. In this class you will learn the basics of papercutting and how to create your very own papercuts. We will cover everything from paper, finding inspiration, and cutting techniques. We will work on a papercut in class that you will be able to take home and frame. Register here.

May 4, 2024: May Flowers Papercutting Class, Poulsbo, WA, 10am-1pm PT [IN PERSON]

In this hands-on workshop we'll cover the fundamentals of papercutting, and work on creating our own flower and foliage designs. All in celebration of May flowers! This workshop is intended to teach you the basics of papercutting, so it is great for beginners or anyone who has tried some papercutting but wants a better grasp on the fundamentals. Register here.

May 16-19, 2024: Adventure Art Bike Trip Creative Fuel Edition, San Juan Islands

Biking and making art in the San Juan Islands! This is one of my favorite things that I get to do for work, and this will be the third annual edition. Bikes, ferries, islands, and pastries. And you get your own custom curated Art Toolkit to take home with you. Info + tickets.

June 6-9, 2024: Creative Retreat with Sarah Uhl, Maple Grove Hot Springs, Idaho

Artist Sarah Uhl and I are joining forces to host this creative retreat at the beautiful Maple Grove property in Idaho. We have crafted this retreat to use art and creativity as a catalyst for simplifying, slowing down, recalibrating, and rejuvenating. Experimenting with a variety of mediums—from watercolor to cyanotypes to writing—we’ll lead with curiosity and spend our days honing in on our own creative process. Info + tickets.

August 9-15, 2024: Singla Creative Retreat, Arnøya, Norway SOLD OUT

The second edition of an amazing creative retreat hosted at Singla in Northern Norway. This retreat is a collaboration with artist Hannah Viano. This retreat is all about place, presence, and process. Expect beautiful scenery, lots of coffee and baked goods, and experimenting with a variety of creative mediums. More info + waitlist here.

September 4-8, 2024: Squam Workshop, New Hampshire

I’ll be gathering with a whole cohort of artists and teachers for a special 5-day retreat at Squam Lake that will be all about reconnecting and tapping into our creative process. Tickets + info.

October 4-6, 2024: Methow Valley Creative Workshop, Twisp, WA SOLD OUT

If Norway feels a little far flung, Hannah and I are doing a more local edition of our retreat at her studio in the Methow Valley. This is an opportunity for those who are looking for a shorter getaway a little closer to home but still seeking the space to recommit to their own creative practice, experiment with new mediums, connect with others, and just generally recharge.
